The Streets of Willow (4.30.11)

High winds and standing under the sun all day with no relief, the Streets of Willow was definitely a “hardcore” track fit only for those who thirst for high speeds. Amazingly though, for being all the way in Rosamond, CA and in the desert, Willow Spring International Speedway was actually quite a relief compared to the heatwave that hit Los Angeles that same day. The only sacrifice made was coming back with my face all windburned for over 4+ days.

During the track day, I got to work with our new equipment, one on one, for the first time. With our new Nikon D7000, a monopod, the MF 400mm  f/5.6. and my prized possession – the 24-70mm f/2.8, I attempted to capture the cars in action. And here are the results:

Kou Family Portrait (7.4.10)

We had the delightful privilege to take pictures of this beautiful family! :) They were all so much fun and hospitable. Their house was an ideal location for pictures, which made it easy for us to get what we needed. It was definitely great getting to know them more and I totally look forward to keeping in touch with them in the years to come.

Here are some of the best from the photoshoot! Enjoy!
