This weekend was definitely full of excitement and fun. It all started Friday, when I first got the chance to met Anita for the first time. We’ve been exchanging e-mails back and forth for almost a week before we met. A lot of plans changed but everything turned out to be awesome!
I didn’t know what to expect at first, especially since all our previous correspondence was through e-mail or the phone. But once I saw her face to face, I knew the weekend would be a lot of fun! It definitely proved to be so! We were two total strangers who, by God’s providence, met and became friends instantly.
On Friday, I took her to 3rd St. Promenade, we both got our makeup done and then walked down and back up, what seems like, a million flights of stairs to Santa Monica Beach. She then got to meet most of my small group before she left for the hotel.
On Saturday, we started off the day at the Dry Bar in Brentwood, went Kogi truck hunting and ended up not too far from the beach. Then we drove to Pasadena and we went to Kelly Zhang’s makeup & hair studio for a makeup tutorial that Anita booked in advance. WE then proceeded to her hotel and took some shots there and then drove to Pasadena City Hall, which apparently was hosting an event. After a few shots, we were shooed out of the City Hall and we took a few more shots before we called it quits and went to dinner. We ended up eating at Pho 79 and tried out their 7 courses of beef. After that we went to Fosselmans and ate some ice cream before we called it a day.
On Sunday, we went to dim sum and then went to Tea Station and end our trip at Dots Cupcake in Pasadena. That was the last time I saw Anita before she left back home for Washington D.C.
This was definitely a weekend to remember. 🙂 Not only did meet three awesome people, but I was blessed with a new friendship that, I hope, will last a lifetime.
Thanks so much for spending so much for the great time!
